Seppeltsfield No. EC4 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2021

Share

53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Shiraz. Both varietals were matured separately in French oak hogsheads, (30% new, 70% seasoned). A merry-go-round of varietal typicity: bay leaf, black olive, and black fruits intermingle with aniseed, clove, ripe red berries, dried plum and a red jube type juiciness on the nose. A pleasant medium bodied, classic Australian blend with a lively acid profile and chalky tannins holding onto the fruit. There’s a salty, nori type quality on the palate which is refreshing, and a minerality which draws you back in for a second sip and lingers on the palate. Nicely made from quality fruit.
