Sergio Barale Barolo Bussia 2020

Share

What this Bussia Soprana vineyard in the Monforte d’Alba commune produces is akin to everything Barolo you can imagine. At the first glimpse there’s a pinkish tone to the rim of the glass, before the notes of roasted orange peel begin to appear, growing darker by the second into some roasted spice and meaty savouries, essences which emphasise how complex this wine soon becomes. Fruit-wise its cherry and plum, elegantly delivered to the palate which holds onto those initial aromatics, the synergy of all the elements rising and echoing over a quite bright and lively finish. Something very special going on here.
