Sevenhill Open Range Grenache 2023

This wine comes off vines that are now more than 100 years old. It is a low-yielding vineyard, and even though the colour is quite pale, the fruit intensity is excellent. The aromas display strawberry musk stick and floral rose petal with just a trace of freshly turned earth. The palate, light-bodied and supple, carries red fruits with a slightly raspberry-like confectionery character, balanced by fine tannins and crisp acidity. The result is a wine of focus and structure that sits neatly within the style that has become synonymous with Grenache in this country.
