Grown at the Little Hampton Vineyard on red volcanic clay soils at an elevation of 720 metres above sea level. Redcurrant, Christmas cherries and Rosella flowers. An underlying bushel of vegetation spreads at the base of the wine, dotted with pop of pink peppercorn and dried potpourri flowers. Oak spice shows in brown powdered spice like nutmeg and cinnamon dust. There is a chewy toffee apple mid palate and some autumn leaf savoury notes. A bright and vivid wine with an ease to the fine tannins. Drink now in a big balloon glass or cellar for another 3-4 years. Pair with a red pesto and smoked chicken pasta.
