Sidewood Mappinga Chardonnay 2025

Share

Sidewood Estate’s major pride in its Chardonnay offerings lies with this flagship variation, a best barrel selection from best parcels at its Mappinga Road vineyard, with all of the producer’s smartest winemaking steering this wine: whole bunch pressing, wild ferment, large format French oak for 9 months. Grilled peach and nectarine, kiwifruit, with gingery oak spices ruling the nose, then a fresher fruit drive in the mouth, citrus flavours, acidity and pithiness entertaining the palate, building complexity and salivating textures. Plenty of cellar time will deliver even more interest.
