Silkwood Estate The Bowers Merlot 2020

Pemberton Merlot which spent fifteen months in French oak, 25% new. The colour here is bright red/garnet, with the nose exhibiting notes of plums, aniseed, earth, black fruits, tobacco leaves and coffee grinds. There is good grip and a seductive texture, firm tannins and medium length. It may not be overly varietal, but it is enjoyable drinking and would be a great choice for your next carnivores’ barbecue. Enjoy this over the next four to six years.
