Elgee Park Chardonnay 2019

Share

The history of Elgee Park dates back to 1838 and has its history in agriculture. Today it lays claim to be the oldest vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula, the vineyard covering 4.5 hectares with the estate grounded in its deep roots and chronicled past. The Elgee Park Chardonnay 2019 opens with a slatey ash aroma that leads to white nectarine, yellow apple and freshly pressed lemon juice. Churned cream and hints of almond nougat are elevated by a saline quality to the bright acidity and the wine finishes with a creamy cashew butter. Plenty of texture and minute detail, this shows off the coolness of the Mornington Peninsula and its ability to grow some of the best Chardonnay grapes in Australia.
