From a much-loved vineyard in the Monforte d’Alba district, there’s a gently convincing nature to this wine that first suggests oak but then persuades your nose that it is more about dark rose, crumbled earth and dusty minerals in play with anise and black fruits. Palate integration is supremely stylish, acidity and tannins seen but not heard. Everything you would expect in a complete Barolo package.
