SOUMAH Nebbiolo Bianco 2025

Well, you learn something every day. This apparently is a synonym for anise, a variety that I am familiar with, having tasted it in many parts of Australia and of course, in its traditional home of Piedmont in Italy. It has a beautiful, powerful aromatic with plenty of fruit intensity, showing a slightly floral honey combination with a touch of nuttiness. Palate is rich and quite textured with an appley pear crumble sort of character and a slight hint of lemon rind. Plenty to like about it. Most appealing wine.
