Streicker Bridgeland Block Syrah 2020

Impressively structured and one of those wines that welcomes a decant to fully loosen up. Brings a dark savouriness to the glass with aromas of briar, acacia, earth, black fruits and undergrowth. Expands as it opens on the palate, revealing a wild fruited loganberry, bramble fruit-scape. Tannins can be grippy and I would like to see how it ages but, in the meantime, there’s no denying it has presence and would probably love to meet a barbecued steak or roast lamb with the trimmings.
