The fruit has been sourced from a combination of three vineyards and involved five fermentations with some whole-bunch influence and destemming, all designed to build vibrancy and complexity into the wine. That additional palate firmness has been bolstered by 30% whole-bunch inclusion. Interestingly, a small amount of the Beaujolais variety Gamay was added, presumably to add a little floral lift, and it seems to work rather well. Has a slightly savoury, truffly character, bright red fruits, a seamless palate, and a long finish. Ideally suited to medium-term drinking.
