Suckfizzle Margaret River Chardonnay 2024

Share

Fun fact: 700 vines produced this wine. The vines are also located on the most southerly vineyard in Margaret River. Extra fun fact: its deep concentration and impressive intensity of flavour means it will undoubtedly still be singing strong in 15+ years’ time.  At this early stage it is yet to fully reveal all, but the signs show an exceptional wine starting to emerge. Aromas rise in citrus and apple blossom, cut apple, grapefruit, lemon zest, peach and light spice. Taut and precise, there’s a quiet power to this wine. It opens slowly, quietly, with summer stone fruits, citrus, apple with oak worked in deep and toasted almond notes, vanillin spice and a leesy, mealy warmth emerging. Masterfully composed. Give it the time it deserves.
