All right, clear your sinuses and strap in – there’s a vast array of smells to discover here. Big bunches of dried herbs, the kind that hang above the deli counter, campfire smoke, fine white pepper, cut black cherry, dried persimmon, a smattering of asian spice mixed with vanilla and cinnamon – bread and butter raisin pudding somehow comes to mind…When your nose has had its fill the palate is plush, fine, and juicy with concentrated, juicy red fruit that gets stuck in your cheeks while the tannin whispers sweet nothings to you. A downright delightful, early-drinking style.
