Pinot from the Pyrenees in Victoria, fermentation was in open topped vessels. A pale garnet hue, the nose gives us notes of red cherries, smoked meats, game, spices and redcurrants. A hint of undergrowth, this is more in the savoury profile of Pinot, rather than exuberant fruit. Fine acidity and excellent intensity that does not waiver on a long finish. Good acidity, sleek tannins and a juicy palate. Three to five years.
