I always considered Mataro an explosion of aromas and flavours, like a Spanish paella or a corrida. Here, things are more tranquil. There are blackberries and plums, some meat, and liquorice. The tannic structure is there, as it should be. The juiciness is welcomed and helps balance the alcohol in between. A savoury mid-length contributes excellent drinkability to this wine.
