The Lane Vineyard Adelaide Hills Estate Syrah 2022

Beautiful example of an Adelaide Hills Syrah, with that cooler climate influence clearly pointing to the use of the word Syrah in the wine. The aromas are spicy, black fruited, dark chocolate, and a slight toast and cinnamon combination. Palate offers plenty. It’s rich and textured, albeit in that medium-bodied structure with the fine, chalky tannins and the well-applied oak helping to focus through to a long finish. In fact, it had about 20 months in French oak, but it’s been neatly integrated and seamlessly managed to produce an excellent wine.
