Two Hands Ares Shiraz 2018

You don’t often call Barossa shiraz ethereal but that is exactly what we have here. It’s a deeply coloured and muscular shiraz but it is the savoury elements that are most impressive – bay leaf, spice, earth and plenty of oak, but not too much, all over a bed of reserved dark berry fruits. It is followed by a dry and punchy palate with luscious, mouth filling jubey fruits that are bright before the savoury meaty and spicy elements return. The finish is then long and smooth with fine, supple tannins. A superb expression of balanced Barossa Shiraz to enjoy over the next decade.
