Vespa Bianca Terra Fiano Salento IGT 2022

A Southern Italian that is, as you might expect, immediately relatable. It connects to the drinker with its textural warmth and savoury charm. Offers a scent of citrus, almond skin, apple, pear, preserved lemon and a splash of spice. There is a sense of workmanship on show, of care, as it delves into the Fiano grape seeking out both complexity and richness of expression. The palate is well composed with more apple, pear and citrus nicely tied to creamy oak. Dried herbs, just a touch but enough, offer a background note. It’s a lovely way to finish.
