Vignerons Schmölzer & Brown Prêt-À-Blanc 2023

Share

A fresh and vibrant blend of fruit from the upper King Valley; 45% Pinot Gris, 38% Sauvignon Blanc, 9% Riesling, 8% Sylvaner. Passionfruit, lemon, lemongrass, jasmine, pear, and green apple spring from the glass. A touch of quince paste in the mix, too. There’s a great balance of fruit and tension to the palate which keeps it gratifying but fresh – preserved lemon, passionfruit, quince, green apple, and pear are laid out for the taking. This is bright and crisp with a good hit of fruit reined in and pulled long by assertive and brisk acidity. Very long, in fact. This is a delicious wine that punches above its price point.
