Vignerons Schmölzer & Brown Schatz Sylvaner 2024

White florals and melon preside over a pretty set of aromas with a slatey mineral shot through the centre. A swirl of the glass unlocks anjou pear, green apple, lemon and green herbs. The palate is defined by freshness and line, with racy white grapefruit and lemon leading the charge along with an underpinning of white flowers and minerality. There is a crystalline feel through the finish which is clean, pure and long thanks to integrated, slatey and grapefruit laced acidity. Wonderful slippery texture, too. There’s great focus, freshness and purity on display here. A great release.
