Vino Intrepido Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing Pinot Grigio 2022

Fruit sourced from the King Valley. Not the usual pale lemon green colour for this Pinot Grigio. A shining gold with a rather exotic and yellow pulp fruit set of aromas. Almost as it tricks you into the Pinot Gris territory, this Grigio has tangs of Golden Delicious apple, pineapple, lemon zest, and chamomile flowers. The palate is textural, with waves of salty grapefruit, orange peel, green papaya, and a sort of “ritual of flavours”: Tequila followed by a bite of lime and a pinch of salt or whichever order you might like to follow during a night that always starts with “I’ll have only one!”. A salty, savoury back of palate and good persistence. The name says it all.
