Calabria Three Bridges Barossa Valley Grenache 2019

Share

There are few more exciting grape varieties in Australia right now than grenache with winemakers around the country prodding and poking this variety to get the best out of it like never before. From delicate almost pinot noir-like wines through to dense shiraz like styles, there is now a grenache for everyone. Calabria’s Barossa Valley Grenache is a more on the traditional, user-friendly and riper style seen from this variety and packs plenty of dark fruits including cherry and plum with a good dash of oak also in the mix. It’s then fleshy and plump in the mouth, with its Barossa origins standing out more than the variety, and finishes with supple tannins and decent length. Enjoy with lamb shanks.
