Parker Coonawarra Estate 95 Block Cabernet Sauvignon/Petit Verdot 2018

Share

Soft liquorice and late picked blackberries, dried red currants, black olive and thyme. This block was planted in 1995 from original cuttings and showcases the intensity of cabernet fruit, and the addition of co-fermented petit verdot really adds the extra tannin and violet aromatics. A powerhouse of fruit and frame which bodes extremely well with puttanesca pasta or thyme and olive focaccia with lamb spare ribs. I’d be inclined to lay down a few in the back corners of your cellar for this wine which punches above its price tag.
