Voyager Estate Chardonnay 2018

Some people are calling the 2018 Margaret River vintage one of the best in recent memory and this wine absolutely backs that up, and is certainly one of if not the best yet under this label at Voyager Estate. It is bright mid straw in colour and shows piercing fruits – nectarine and citrus with beautiful oak integration and nougat oak ferment complexity. The palate is then tight, firm and embryonic – fruit and oak are all in perfect place with finely balanced acidity providing precision and focus to match superb fruit concentration. A great Margaret River Chardonnay that just needs a little time to settle and will then drink beautifully with lemon risotto.
