Voyager Estate Project Nouveau Rouge 2020

Share

The Nouveau Rouge is new cab off the rank at Voyager Estate which is cleverly using young vine fruit to step into the popular bistro red category with its crunchy, juicy fruit. While made from cabernet sauvignon, it smells a lot like cabernet franc from the Loire Valley with its generous graphite, pencil shavings and violet aromas. The palate then shows a good mix of fleshy dark and herb tinged fruits with juicy acidity and some grainy tannins. Not many people try to make a bistro red from cab sauv and this is a good effort. Team it up with Mexican pulled pork and serve it with a light chill for optimal drinking.
