Warramunda Liv Zak Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2019

Share

This Yarra Pinot Noir has early drinking written all over it, what with that bright cherry beat that keeps time to some pretty energetic acidity. The palate is sinewy with a dusty, earthy overlay, rhubarb and plum.

This new label from Warramunda celebrates a collaboration between Liv Zak, the daughter of the founders, and the Warramunda winemaking team. It is part easy/earlier drinking pleasure and part discovery of new grapes and creative winemaking strokes.

For instance, here the makers incorporate the on-trend role of whole bunch – 60% – in the winemaking process which aids some of that cherry, red berry  and aromatic bounce, and definitely the taut structure that follows.
