White Rabbit Sour Red

Share

For some time now, White Rabbit has been quietly knocking out some of Australia’s best sour beers at its barrel hall in Geelong. This is its riff on a Flanders Red; a sour fruity reddish brown Belgian beer style often compared to red wine. Slow souring via barrel fermentation has resulted in a complex yet refreshing ale offering biscuity malt and and tart cherry notes, supported by some earthy and savoury characters. A great introduction to the arena of traditional sour beers, albeit a little dialled back from the more intense, multi-layered and exciting Flanders Reds. The acid structure of these beers make them sensational with food. Try your White Rabbit Sour Red with some grilled seafood or barbecued pork sausages.
