You are getting a terrific high class Great Southern Shiraz for this price. Bloody fantastic if you ask me. Comes off dry-grown Kalgan River vines that are now about 25 years old. Sits in the medium-bodied zone but there is excellent flavour concentration and intense aromatics. On the nose you get red fruits with even a hint of mum’s rhubarb crumble pie. The new oak component of 40% is reasonably high yet it is perfect for the task. Excellent wine.
