Piquepoul Blanc calls south west France home but is increasingly making a home – and a name – for itself in Oz. This is why. Sakura highlights the grape’s inner herbals and light wild savouriness while bringing some crazy exciting citrus notes to the glass along a driving racy acidity. It is super fresh. The palate is lined in herbals – thyme, marjoram – and acacia and earth with preserved lemon and almond in sync with rousing citrus and apple. Light creaminess combines with an almond nuttiness, finishing on a lifted herbal note. Offers an exciting “alternative” grape experience to try.
