Wolf Blass Grey Label McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018

Made in small batches from ferment through maturation, the parcels employed have seen a range of new and seasoned French and American oak as well as some kept to stainless steel tank to retain an element of brightness. There’s definitely a big shiraz vibe here and yes, the oak plays an integral part, with a density and concentration of black fruits to begin, then intense dark chocolate and mocha and a big chewy palate to follow. Extraction levels are all about full bodied red wine muscle. Like it that way and you’ll be all over this.
