First some background: HBO’s House of the Dragon is the prequel to one of the most-watched TV series in history – Game of Thrones. Wolf Blass and Warner Bros. have partnered to launch a limited-edition wine on June 22 to mark Day of the Dragon. It’s a combination of 52% cabernet and the remainder shiraz all from South Australia. There’s a bright, fruity house style about this with succulent juicy ripe fruit displaying blackcurrant and red berry characters filled with a dark plum and dark chocolate richness. There are also fine chalky tannins and a pure fruit driven palate to finish.
