Yelland & Papps Barossa Valley Syrah 2022

Share

The spicy side of the Barossa on show here in this wine with wild ferments and 62% whole bunches. It is immediately appealing thanks to layers of crushed cloves, dark earths, with woody tones and dark cherry aromas with plenty to see. The palate is a different story, quite bound up right now thanks to those stalky tannins but there is good early complexity and underlying strength that lingers through the finish. Give it some time in the cellar or slow cooked lamb shanks should help flesh it out.
