Goes the full nine yards – 1930s bush vines, dry grown in Marananga by grower Bob Modra – and once it hits the winery there is some serious winemaking love and attention shown. The result is beautifully aromatic, floral and silky smooth. Seductively subtle. Aromas sweep across the glass in violet, lavender, rosemary and herbs joined by red plum, raspberry, black cherry, dusty cacao and orange peel. Old vines bring that added charm, layers of fruit and spice with a gentle touch of savouriness. Grenache acidity is a feature, enlivening, energising the palate. Runs smooth finishing with some redcurrant juicy crunch.
