Zonte’s Footstep Lady Marmalade Vermentino 2024

Fabulous name for this delicious Vermentino from the Fleurieu Peninsula, specifically blocks at the mouth of the Goolwa River. Only free run juice is used, with fermentation in tanks, its colour is a pale limpid lemon hue. The nose gives us pears, nuts, apples, a touch of lemon curd, fresh grapefruit notes and lots of citrus. There is good focus, bright acidity, impressive length and a seriously persistent finish. This is a fine example of a local Vermentino. Enjoy it over the next two to four years.
