1847 First Pick Shiraz 2020

Very delicate, almost ethereal at first glance. Then red gum leaves, old leather, boysenberries, blueberries, blue plums and blackberry conserve, to name a few. Vanilla pods and a touch of pomegranate. When the nose gives way to generosity and layers of rich fruit and spices, the palate is different altogether: tightly knit tannins, sleek acidity, fine-tuned fruit, with only that generous alcohol accent taking over at the end. Nevertheless, the length is incredible for the endurance of its structure. There is still plenty of life in front of this wine.
