Fruit for this release was sourced from Vine Vale after severe frost damage in the Alkina blocks. A wine of freshness, vim and vigour, it presents brilliantly in youth. Lemon sorbet, lemongrass, jasmine, lime zest and pickled ginger leap from the glass, underpinned by wet stone and mandarin pith. Juicy and bright on the palate, it has a lovely bitter bite and textured layers of lemon peel, lemon oil and ruby grapefruit, lifted by sweet florals. Citrus oil lingers through the finish. This is moreish, bright and – most importantly – delicious.
