Altus/Rise Ascension Shiraz 2022

The colour here is a deep crimson/red. The wine is tight, poised and gives evidence of coiled power as the nose offers notes of raspberries, red cherries, beef stock and tobacco leaves. Much more in the savoury spectrum than its younger sibling, but still with good acidity, a sleek texture, powdery tannins and impressive length. A wine for enjoying over the next ten to twelve years.
