Balter Brewing Bunker Buster Session Ale

Share

Thank you isolation, for giving us the opportunity to enjoy the Gold Coast outfit’s new limited release in the comfort of home.

It was originally intended to be kegged up and sold in pubs across the country. We all know how that panned out.

Balter has labelled it a ‘Session Ale’; something of a catch-all category for generously hopped beers, of which you can enjoy more than one.

Bunker Buster certainly fits that bill. Quite hazy in appearance, it’s brimming with citrus and tropical aromas, which carry over onto the palate – definitely not one for folk who turn up their nose at fruity beers.

For the rest of us, it’s a full-flavoured juicy hop bomb that finishes nice and dry. It’s mildly astringent at the moment, but that will no doubt soften with a little more time in the can.
