Barone di Villagrande Etna Rosso Contrada Villagrande 2017

Share

This blend of 80% Nerello Mascasele with the remainder made up of Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mantellato is classic Etna, immediately bursting with smoky and new tar aromas backed by juicy red cherry pip plus a stony minerality that adds a deliciously savoury feel. There is a delightful initial elegance to the fruit flavours, more smoke, earth and red fruits before juicy acidity and firm tannins rise up to support a long, savoury finish. Great value for an Etna Cru and it will drink well for some time to come.
