Kirrihill Vineyard Selection Series Leasingham Cabernet Malbec 2021

Share

Blending 87% Cabernet Sauvignon (including 10% from the 2024 vintage) with 13% Malbec (including 2% from 2025), this wine displays aromas of plum, black cherry, cassia bark, dusty cedar and boysenberry that initially sit a little reserved but open up gracefully with aeration. On the palate, it is juicy and vibrant, with bright fruit notes of plum, mulberry and fine cedar unfolding alongside mocha and subtle graphite nuances. Firm, fine-grained tannins provide structure and definition, guiding the wine to a medium-length finish. The wine’s lively acidity and well-integrated tannins make it a well-structured, vibrant red that offers excellent value within its price bracket.
