The early morning picking from this Valleyfield Vineyard at Longford in Tasmania has been designed to retain the vibrant, crunchy freshness of this variety. The textural component comes from the lees stirring after cultured yeast fermentation, and it’s resulted in a wine that is textured and flavoursome, but retains a vibrant, high-energy acidity to carry the finish. Typical apple crumble and spicy pear notes, and a lovely textured mouthfeel. An impressive wine for drinking over the next few years.
