Brown Hill Ivanhoe Reserve Cabernet 2019

This straight Cabernet was hand-picked across a range of different levels of ripeness to add extra complexity to the wine. After the sorting table, fermentation in tanks and then maturation in French Bordeaux barriques, 40% new, for 18 months. Inky dark purple, this is coiled, tight, poised and focussed. Notes of cedar, spices, blackberries, chocolate, cassis and leather. Has real intensity along with impressive length with abundant but ever-so-silky tannins. A superb, youthful Margaret River Cabernet, this has ten years plus ahead of it. A cracking Cabernet.
