Burge Family Winemakers Draycott Shiraz 2021

So here it is, Barossa Shiraz from a great year, strutting all that you expect from both the region and the varietal combination. Loads of plummy dark fruits, plus chocolate, a little cocoa, and just a faint dried sage bush-like herby character. The palate is rich and delicious with firmish tannins in support and plenty of oak to add that final flourish. It’s a wine that could cellar for many years, but for me, I think drinking in the medium term will be most attractive.
