Campos de Viento Tempranillo 2024

Tempranillo is the great red variety of Spain, and this is a fine example of what great value it can be. Dark crimson with a ruby rim, this is quite a savoury style with attractive herbal notes, a touch of leather, along with hints of soy, delicatessen meats, raspberries, cherries and mushrooms. There is a sleek texture and we see darker fruits come forth on the palate. The wine has bright acidity, decent length and finishes with fine, gentle tannins. Absolutely brilliant buying and it should drink very nicely over the next six or seven years.
