Castelli Shiraz 2020

A very impressive Frankland River Shiraz, which is cracking value. Maturation was in a mix of French oak barriques and hogsheads, with 30% new. An inky black hue here, with aromas of chocolate, licorice, soy, black fruits, blackberries, florals, vanilla and aniseed. Good focus too, showing exemplary balance, this is a wine of serious intensity with attractive espresso notes emerging on the palate and lingering persistence. Enjoy any time over the next eight to twelve years. Like this a lot.
