Vignerons Schmölzer & Brown Brunnen Chardonnay 2021

Share

Reticent first off. Aromas of clotted cream, glimmers of menthol, an open woody note from quality oak, and oyster shell minerality. More weight than the Thorley, and more subdued fruit too, with hints of preserved lemon and green apple lingering beneath. A medium bodied palate with glossy texture wrapping around green apple, cream, fresh cut pear, nectarine, and wood spice. This all leads to a graceful and long finish, encased in gentle phenolic edge and subtle oak tannin. A poised, confident, and classy Chardonnay. Decant for a good time.
