Castle Rock Skywalk Riesling 2021

The Skywalk is a relatively new addition to Rob Diletti’s Castle Rock range. It’s supposed to be a little less serious than the Estate, although many wineries would love this to be their top wine. Rob’s got a way with riesling which is certainly on display here. Watery white in colour, the aromas are pristine and precise. Just ripe limes, a touch of spice plus a distinctive almost salty mineral character – loads of complexity for a wine at this price. The palate is then dry and light weight, layers of citrus flavours with a touch of tropical peach skin providing depth for early drinking before a lingering finish. If you are looking for a dependable mid-week riesling you won’t find better than this.
