Chateau Les Maurins Bordeaux 2018

Share

Bordeaux is for some the greatest wine region on the planet. Great reds, whites and sweet wines all in one place so it is worth getting your lips around it, at least occasionally. It is also one of the most expensive wine regions in the world so good value is very hard to find.

This vintage of Chateau Les Maurins immediately has a strong stamp of Bordeaux – gravel, dried herb and blackcurrant fruit with a leafy edge. It continues that on the palate with concentrated tarry, blackberry fruits in a typically savoury style. It has also got some chewy tannins that will soften nicely with some pink lamb cutlets.
