Howard Park Porongurup Riesling 2019

Share

Arriving fully-formed and ready to get down to business, it’s rare to see such a young Riesling so self-assured upon release. So varietally sharp.

Seven months since bottling and it’s ready to go, with the scent of orange blossom florals and a citrus lift that is mostly grapefruit and lime hanging in the air.

Lime is the pervading, enduring motif, a lime cordial intensity on the palate which (personally-speaking) is swoon-worthy. It’s a mix of sucking on citrus before that first sip of Corona, with a salty tang attached. Brightens your day.

Dry, intense with texture and flavour and, yet, still so far to go.
