Head Wines Old Vine Shiraz 2020

Share

Made with fruit from vines that are between 35 and 130 years of age, this Shiraz, which includes 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, offers up a hearty Barossan experience with power and refinement. It’s compact and muscular as it delivers waves of blackberry and new leather aromas with a silver lining of dried spices, no doubt thanks to 50% of fruit coming from the Eden Valley. A well structured palate follows, tannins significant but well integrated, with old vine fruit coming through in the form of impressive fruit density and weight plus a lengthy finish. It’s rock solid with good aging potential over the medium term.
